What do you want your year to look like? What goals are you ready to accomplish? Tips on Creating Your Vision Board

  • Search specifics of what you’d like to see on your vision board using Pinterest. For example, I always search keywords like “studying aesthetic” or “Pilates aesthetic.”
  • Make a Pinterest board titled “2026 Vision Board” to keep your photos organized.
  • Add your favorite quotes or affirmations to the board. If you’re struggling to figure out your favorites, Pinterest has a ton of them.
  • If you’d prefer to do your vision board on a computer before gluing down photos to a poster board, use the poster board template in Canva to get an idea of what you want it to look like.
  • Along with Pinterest and Canva, platforms like Substack, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube are great for finding inspiration.
  • Visualize your goals before you search for photos. What do you want next year to look like? Are your goals physical? Do you have dreams of getting into a school? Do you want to travel? Think about all of your goals. It may be helpful to write them all down in a bulleted list first.
  • What, like it’s hard? Take inspiration from your favorite girl boss characters like Elle Woods by adding their photos and quotes on your board. Personally, I have Elle Woods, Hermione Granger and Toni Childs on mine.
  • Have fun! Vision boards are supposed to be fun, not stressful! Even if you’re hosting a vision board party, take some time to relax before tending to guests and completing your board. And please do not be like Angela from “The Office” on the party planning committee.
  • Use a hot glue gun, super glue or strong tape to get your photos to stick to the board. You don’t want them falling off mid-year.
  • Get creative! This is your time to tap into your creative mind. Print out photos, draw pictures, add stickers, write down every single goal, and do whatever you want!
