Looking for a Nintendo Switch 2? Here’s How to Get One From Amazon

Plus a few other places to look

If you’ve been hunting for a Nintendo Switch 2 since launch with no luck, here’s some welcome news: Several major retailers are finally restocking the high-demand console—including Amazon, which now offers both the standard Nintendo Switch 2 console and the Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle by invitation.

As Amazon notes above the “request invite” button, the Nintendo Switch 2 is a “high-demand item with limited quantities. We won’t be able to grant all requests.” If you’re looking for a way to pick up the Switch 2, this could be your chance. Beyond that, there’s not much more information on how the invitation system works, meaning it will likely just be the luck of the draw for many shoppers.

The Switch 2’s faster hardware and bigger screen make it perfect for replaying Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom and just about anything in your backlog. And with restocks live at Amazon, Walmart and Target, now’s one of your best chances yet to grab one before they sell out again.

I’ve personally been checking availability almost daily—especially now that Donkey Kong Bananza is out and Metroid Prime 4 is on the way. And good news: I’m finally getting mine today from Walmart. My local store had it in stock with ship-to-home as a backup, so definitely check your zip code even if it says “limited availability.” Having a Walmart+ membership gave me first access to a PlayStation 5 several years ago, so that may also affect availability.

If you’re set on ordering yours from Amazon, though, be sure to request an invite while supplies last!
