In 2023, YETI discontinued its Trailhead Dog Bed after four years of production. But now, the brand has rolled out a new and improved version, called the Boomer Dog Bed, which boasts some new perks and features that make it a step above the previous model.
For starters, the Boomer bed is designed as one piece, as opposed to the two-piece Trailhead bed. The new model also comes in two different sizes, small and large, whereas the original only came in one. Keep reading to see why it’s worth snagging now that it’s back in stock!
The YETI Boomer Dog Bed is constructed with a thick pillow bolster and a cushy, supportive quilted foam base. It boasts a waterproof HydroBarrier bottom, which means you can use it both indoors and outdoors. (For reference, the previous Trailhead bed was only designed for indoor use.) And when the bed needs a cleaning, simply remove the outer cover and toss it into the washing machine.
As mentioned previously, the Boomer bed comes in both small and large sizes. The small bed is recommended for dogs weighing less than 35 pounds, and it measures 30 inches long and 23 inches wide. Meanwhile, the large bed is recommended for dogs weighing between 35 and 75 pounds, and it measures 39.5 inches long and 30 inches wide. On both beds, the padded bolster is 7.3 inches high, so your pup will get the same level of cushioned comfort no matter their size.
