With the daylight hours dwindling each day, now is the perfect time to treat yourself to an upgraded sleep setup. And if your current bed frame has seen its better days, we found a great deal on a sturdy, king-sized metal frame on Amazon.
Enter the Yaheetech King Metal Platform Bed Frame, which boasts an elegant, Victorian-style design and an easy assembly process. Best of all, it’s currently on sale for 27% off, bringing the price down from $150 to $110.
Made of solid metal, this platform bed frame features a high headboard with rounded corners, curved lines and thick tube frames for a romantic, vintage-inspired feel. It features 12 metal slats with raised edges to ensure your mattress doesn’t slide around, and it provides enough support that a box spring is not needed. (Although shoppers note that, if you’re using a memory foam mattress, you’ll likely need to add some 1/4-inch plywood on top of the slats to prevent the mattress from wedging down between them.)
Built with reinforced steel and multiple support points, this bed frame has an 800-pound weight capacity. Once fully assembled, it stays solid and quiet without any wobbling or squeaking. It comes in four colors: black, white, bronze and antique gold, all of which are currently on sale. (But if you want the biggest discount, go with the black.)
There’s 12.6 inches of space underneath the bed frame, making it ideal for storing suitcases, storage bins or extra bedding, and it’s easy to fit a vacuum underneath. While there is some assembly required, all of the necessary hardware and tools are included with the bed frame, as well as an illustrated manual to help you set everything up.
Reviewers behind its 4.4-out-of-5-star rating say this bed frame is “super easy to put together” and feels very sturdy.
“In love!” one shopper raves. “Absolutely adore this bed. I purchased a king size and I couldn’t be happier with the way it came out… The bed is super stable and seems well-made. No squeaking or sounds (and I have kids and dogs jumping all over).”
“I’m very happy with this bed frame,” says another. “It has a simple, classic design and feels sturdy and well made. Assembly was straightforward, and all the necessary parts were included. Once assembled, the frame feels stable and provides good support for the mattress. It also looks great and matches well with different bedroom styles. Overall, it’s a great value for the price, and I would definitely recommend it.”
